Why me and choosing me
I work in a neurodiversity-affirming person-centred way, which means I focus on you as a whole person, and not just your struggles or a label. My approach is gentle, down to earth, and most importantly flexible. I understand that traditional therapy spaces don’t always feel accessible or safe , so I aim to work with you in a way that feels comfortable and open for you, whether this is walk and talk, face to face, telephone or online.
You might be navigating things like:
- Feeling overwhelmed or burnout from masking or try to fit in
- Sensory overload or shutdowns that others don’t seem to understand
- Social anxiety, rejection sensitivity or struggles with relationships
- Constant overthinking, hyper focus or difficulty switching off
- Feeling like your too much or not enough
- Navigating self identification, or identity questions – this might be because you don’t have a formal diagnosis or that’s it a late diagnosis.
- Emotional dysregulation or difficulty naming and processing feelings
Living with neurodivergence in a world that often doesn’t make space for you can feel exhausting, confusing and lonely. You maybe know somethings wrong, but not exactly sure what.
Together we can work on:
- Understanding your neurodivergent identity and experiences
- Manage overwhelm, anxiety, or shutdowns
- Building self-trust and reducing internalised shame
- Finding ways to work with your brain, not against it
- Processing past experiences of being misunderstood , rejected, or dismissed
- Creating strategies that support your day-to-day life
